Disagree & agree on this topic... I too am a huge Green Day fan and fan of Billie Joe Armstrong. Being a fan, know that while he may wear jeans that sit low, they don't generally expose his derriere but typically sit on his hip bones. When I had read this article too, my thought was more that he was targeted more for his celebrity that how he was dressed. If memory serves me right, during the couple months around this incident, there were several incidents of celebrities in the news from flight issues, good & bad. Wasn't this the same month that an actress was kicked off a flight for kissing her girlfriend? Not sure it's a fair comparison when the UNM football player admits to wearing his PJ pants BELOW his knees!! I'd agree that it's good business to have their customers removed for indecent behavior but curious to the different airlines guidelines to decent behavior for dress.

Well, within the scope of federal copyright law, you are generally correct. Except for the rare case where the professor presents the lecture in operatic style. See 17 USC 1101.

I'm not entirely joking. One of my profs was a bit nervous and appeared to be performing ballet throughout her lectures. It was distracting.

Love the blogs, Jeff!
I would love to know your opinion on if local residents and businesses should be allowed to use local government seals/logos without permission of the governing body. On one hand, I see where the seal in essence belongs "to the people." But on the other hand, I wouldn't want jackleg companies to be able to take the seal, slap it on their vehicles, and poorly represent the local government/community. I guess my question is, To whom does a locality's seal/logo belong?

What is lurid? What is sexually explicit? What is graphic imagery? I don't think any of those terms have been definitively defined and I am not sure they ever will. What is sexy for that matter? What was considered sexy a long time ago is a far cry from what is considered sexy today. Sort of silly to argue about it all.
